Based on what we've heard and been told about "eternity", I wonder if Hikari is trying to become god by destroying all her fellow angels. She already seems to possess godlike power, so I'm not sure what difference it would make, but I'm beginning to suspect that she has goals beyond simply living happily with Michiru.

Bruh. Destroying civilization and turning into a "god" are completely different things. They even had a conversation previous chapters about how insignificant Earth is, so it's safe to assume being a god is someone that's at least a galaxy-level being, nevermind the creator of at least one universe.
