the series started off interesting enough, but before long it got completely lost in the weeds - probably not worth reading unless you just want to look at the art and are ok with a hyper-focus on Japanese mythology, to a hilarious degree given the supposed premise of "the greatest heroes from the entire history of humanity", 25% of the human fighters are from Japan and their fights last 2-4 times as long as any of the other fighters. and most of the fights are just a endless back and forth of "I have the best move!" and "nuh uh, I have the BETTER best move!!" until the fight arbitrarily ends
