Greed aside you'd think ppl would be wary about asking a demigod for a favor/trying to take advantage, if not some kinda 'contract' magic to not betray them/use them for evil reasons, or simply disguise himself while he's just in town or so outside of turning in adventure/guild quests

Nice to see the author put some thought into explaining a Hero's strength, and that there are qualifications for once. Some random sword-slinger who catches the fancy of the nobles isn't just given the title on their whims here. He actually had to hit a high level and earn it.
