I love this series. Something about the story of two girls going from strangers to friends (and maybe more?) with a sense of earnest innocence really makes me smile. When my only complaint about a series is wanting more, that's a good sign.
Both of the main characters are wonderful, as they both have a basic trope but then go beyond that to be very interesting and complex. Ayame's chill attitude goes well with her internal pondering and overthinking, and Shiraishi's shy attitude goes well with her straightforward actions and clinginess when she's comfortable. I wouldn't say that they're completely unique, but that's okay!
They really shine when it comes to the pacing of the story. There was never a point where something felt rushed; the progression between the two felt natural. Just know that this is a slice of life, and there is very little drama in this series. It is the definition of a slow burn, which makes the length probably a strength since it never stalls out or overstays its welcome.
9/10 I HIGHLY recommend this series for slice of life lovers that are looking for something sweet, slow, and fluffy. My only wish is that there was another 5 to 10 chapters to see where things would go from an otherwise very satisfying ending. Heck, I'll probably come back to this series on occasion just to reexperience the sweetness!
