I was thinking this the whole time too. I thought they had magic that could change the world but this whole Neverland thing was like the Wizard of Oz. I wonder what they use the babies for.

if you look at it at straight value, this is a childs dream to not be an adult, made by an child (unconfirmed), that invited everyone into that dream.
of course a child is hypocritical, and might see sea creatures (which they here are) as less then humans
