@goarachnidlaser to be fair, these events happened 30+ years ago for Sayuri. And she wasn't paying enough attention at the time, she wasn't thinking of anyone but herself at all. Now she's looking for clues.

I feel like it's going the route where her dad grows a fucking spine from seeing his daughter try her hardest OR her friends step in to help her save the day and they start a global rice fastfood chain named....I don't know...McBonalds

Even if the hotel thing isn't shady, it'd tie up a lot of her father's assets. It's 1990 now, this is about to fall (as referenced in the first chapter) and will wipe out a lot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_asset_price_bubble

Given the market has already seen a drop, this could be a genuine courting of an investor to save the project. But the cracks were already apparent, and if "Take-sama" were smart, dangling bait like that could wipe out a source of funding to his mentor and possible rival. Lot of "ifs", though. If he's young and inexperienced and working off what his sensei is saying because he thinks it's a good investment... it's the same outcome.

Crucially, the prices for real-estate only dropped in Tokyo first, while outside of that region (including Kansai) they continued to rise or stayed the same. The bubble will finally be declared in '93, which could have been the OTL prompt for Ninomiya-san to, ahem, "make himself taller".

Oh, I understand the reasoning why she has no knowledge of the past. I'm just saying that it's jarring how it's a story about a time traveler... unable to use her knowledge for anything.

Like, imagine an isekai in which a Japanese salaryman is reincarnated in a fantasy world... only he doesn't remember anything and lives his whole life as a humble turnip farmer until a dragon eats him at the age of 32. You'd be like: what was even the point of him being isekai'd?

I think the dad is being set up in some kinda ponzi scheme.

Was pretty hilarious to see her pretend to be a mom looking for her daughter at the club.

I gotta say, Page 19 was a pretty cool entrance, kicking the door in.

The rapist dude deserved that bite to the arm as well as those beatings to his other two rapist partners in crime. Also, this incident doesn't feel like it's those rapists' first rodeo. Whether or not they have experience in this, rapists should get served their own rocky mountain oysters immediately after they're cut off, and branded with a hot iron.

I love this manga. Only the issue with the shop girl's dad pissed me off so far. Everything else has been fantastic.

I really want the other to find out about her. And her past fate. It would help them to understand her mental state a lot better so they could help her from losing her mind.
