This manga wasn't axed. It's just that there is no way to end this manga with an actual conclusion. The real ending was when Hachiken &co graduated from high school. The last few chapters are basically the epilogues to show that their lives still continue on as adults, while also showing how everyone's dreams end in success or failure (or still ongoing struggle). Continuing beyond this point would just drag on the story with real world situations for the youngsters outside of the convenient (for storytelling) confines of the school.

There's no going around it. As a final chapter it is underwhelming. No Aki, no new company, no marriage, an open ended ending that in reality doesnt end anything because the only way to let the world open is to tie the loose ends together. If you dont give closure the literary world is not complete.

I understand her struggles, but this is what it is.

I know this is coming, but its still sad seeing this go.

Maybe its just me, but I dont feel the ending to be unsatisfying at all

It wasn't the greatest ending but this as been in the final arc for over 5 years. The ride was long but I don't regret even a second of it.

Its a very silver spoon ending. Their story hasnt ended yet, its just starting so it doesnt need an abrupt ending. But this seems like its prepping for a sequel haha.

@MrBeaver Nah it wasn't cancelled. Back in 2015 (Volume 13) Arakawa started talking about ending the series. Multiple hiatuses and delays later and it ended in 2019 (Volume 15).

Whoaa, just re-read this last week and now the last chapter updated xD
Thank you so much guys for the last chapter, have been waiting to read this chapter so much!

Kind of unsatisfied with the ending tbh, i reaally want to know Yuugo's journey and struggle bulding his company. But this ending is understandable because in the first place this story is focused on Yuugo's school life.

Thank you so much Arakawa sensei for this amazing series!!!
Definitely looking forward for her next work!!
And thank you so much Sense Scans for translating this amazing series until the end, really love you guys~

I don't think this ending was as bad as some seem to think. If you look at this chapter in a vacuum, sure, but the previous chapter and the one before was a lot of the wrap up/catching up on different characters. Meanwhile this one is just showing them clearly planning to continue on to bigger and greater things.

But the fact that there's going to be something new from the author is a surprise I wasn't really expecting. I can't wait to see it.

Funny how I came back to this manga by chance where I left off 2 years ago right when the true final chapter drops!
I can kinda understand how people would feel that this is an unsatisfying ending, but I honestly think its a very "real" sorta ending, very down to earth and that's very fitting for the manga and I like it.

I still can't shake off the feeling that this manga kinda shines a too positive light on Japans agriculture industry. As real as it felt portrayed, there is no industry without its negative sides and thst wasn't really shown unfortunately.
Still a very nice manga overall.
