Well you are stronger than me, because I went through the raws and I still feel depressed, can't imagine actually having to translate this shit show. Can't help but think what was the author smoking, there are so many ways to make a story spicy while padding out the length.
It's the issue of being a mangaka I guess. It's a job so ending your current manga means having to come up with new things which takes time. Having drama prolongs the story, the issue is the drama is often easily avoidable or completely unwarranted so comes across as really shallow and just annoying since it ruins the characters involved in it.

I think some drama is important for a romance since despite it being the most wanted factor, having a cushy romance for 200 chapters will get stale, you need the bad times to appreciate the good ones. This is just a poorly executed way sadly...

Why does she need to go back to the office because there was a typo?

Remember the plot point of her wanting to have kids and how her biological clock is ticking? Yeah, the author used that to create and really rub in the drama, you can tell by a mile away that the whole drama plot point is most probably done to increase the story's run time, and keep things spicy (which I hate).

Because the author could've easily gone with a more grounded story, a story of their everyday life while dating and the guy helping her with her trust issues and her helping him to be more vocal and outgoing, but instead we got this shit show.
She went with:
  • Volume 1 ending: Mitsui confesses and Ono accepts it
  • Volume 2 ending: Ono is intrigued that a famous actor flirts with her
We didn't even get a full volume of them dating and you can even say their first date was with that dude. So weird that she just goes along with it, as if she is some young woman seeking validation.
