It's the issue of being a mangaka I guess. It's a job so ending your current manga means having to come up with new things which takes time. Having drama prolongs the story, the issue is the drama is often easily avoidable or completely unwarranted so comes across as really shallow and just annoying since it ruins the characters involved in it.Well you are stronger than me, because I went through the raws and I still feel depressed, can't imagine actually having to translate this shit show. Can't help but think what was the author smoking, there are so many ways to make a story spicy while padding out the length.
I think some drama is important for a romance since despite it being the most wanted factor, having a cushy romance for 200 chapters will get stale, you need the bad times to appreciate the good ones. This is just a poorly executed way sadly...
