Still seeing people saying Ibelina is dense. It's honestly pretty tiring now. There's a difference between being dense and completely caring for someone platonically and being aware of her social status. If she really is dense, she would not go out of her way to push him away and remind him of how the both of them should behave. If anything, it's either the thought of being romantically involved with Alejandro never crossed her mind or she is pretending not to notice for both of their sakes.

Then she proceeds to ignore Lorenzo's pretty obvious advances.
While we're at it, she talks about how a maid and her lord getting together "doesn't make any sense" when she's in a romance novel is pretty silly. You can't argue that she isn't thinking in novel terms when she's still banking on Alejandro falling in love with the female lead without his curse either.

@NoireNowaru - Her consideration of Lorenzo pretty much goes to show she's not dense, persay. I think she's imagining she has better control over the situation than she does, and that comes off as dense since we know something has to go sideways or there won't be a story.

Get off your high horse, Lorenzo. Who do you think you are, Lorenzo de Medici or something? Ibelina is a reincarnator. She doesn't want to know what kind of life some random gardener's helper will be able to offer her. It could be a single bedroom at his parents' home, where she would be at the parents' mercy, waiting on them hand and foot. More luckily it could be a single room apartment in the cheapest part of the town. If she was super lucky, it would be a shack on the town outskirts with a tiny vegetable garden of their own.

@Psychronia as far as her class concerns, to be fair, though it was a romance novel, it was not a rags to riches or cinderella tale. It was a love triangle between people of high rank, so the setting doesn't give her any narrative powers to overcome that social gap or avoid the fallout from it. Her interference in its progression has, but that's not necessarily something someone would realize at the ant's eye view that she has of the situation.
@NoireNowaru She literally voiced an expectation of Alejandro and Eleanora being an item like in the original story this very chapter. Not sure why since I'm pretty sure the original contact was kidnapping for purposes of clearing the curse and the curse is gone? Regardless, the fact that she sees he sees his current behavior more like a pampered child clinging to their mother's apron strings than actual romantic interest is both fairly obvious and probably not entirely wrong.

@jak I would say she probably feels isolated and like she has no place. It said earlier that her marriage was a loveless one, so she was essentially forced into it, then gave birth to a cursed child. When she tried to reconnect with him, he blew her off (for good reason) and her husband died. Her life has no purpose and she has no one to really rely on. A lot of it is her own fault, but I still pity her.

tbh I'm really not liking the relationship between ibee and alejandro. she's essentially a parental figure to him and she doesn't have the intent, but lowkey she groomed him to be dependent on her. this is a grown woman from another world, I feel like she shouldn't be so damn dense and realize she made Alejandro love her. because he's so obvious about it

Isn't Alejandro happiness is the only thing she should be focusing as her per se character?
I don't understand why would she be bothered by some rule of that world while having no other things she should be caring other than Alejandro himself. Plus she is kinda don't care about the shipping anymore.

Well, the reprimanding wasn't as bad and as made up and as convoluted and as contrived as I imagined it to be. Personally, I couldn't care less about the love triangle for Lorenzo and the whole noble-commoner-know-your-place-stuff.

You do know rules in a society like that are hard to break right ... plus if they were to get together a lot if people would not want to work together with them and there would be a lot of people trying to kill them but especially mc. Plus if they were to have children they would be labeled as children with peasant blood and what not... Not saying they can not do it, but right now is impossible.. He is too young to be excepted by older nobles and does not have any noble friends and he hasn't achieved anything be yet to be respected.
