Ibeliana is between a rock and a hard place. She has told him that him coming around so much is causing issues. The initial reason why she isekai'd was to change his fate, not really to romantically get involved with him. Being in mom mode that she is...she is aware that he has some feelings towards her but it's like a toddler crush to her. (The type of crap little kids say they'll marry mom/dad someday.) She's always glad to see him socialize and widen his circles. To be honest I really can't blame her for it. She literally did 'raise' him. That's hell of weird and uncomfortable- and it shows in the series.
As for being more firm - she really can't. She's a maid and not in a position of authority. He'd just ignore it or throw a tantrum, which he does when she is trying to be firm. Fuck, she barely got through to him to NOT fire Lorenzo for being a possessive little prig. She also had to diffuse the situation with her and the female knight. Besides if she tried harder, Head Maid, Duke (when alive), Duchess (prior to exile) and Butler would have canned her for playing above her station.
Alejandro knows she treats him like a kid...and that's for a damned good reason. She's well aware that he's too mentally stunted atm and she's trying her best to steer him without jeopardizing her position. Of course he's not making it easy. Plus whole social class, ect all that jazz.
Her hands are tied. It's not like she can go to corporate to get shit fixed. She's literally on her damned own on this and doing the best she can under shit circumstances.
Anyhoo just mah thoughts.

@Claresilver47 Your words contradict with how she interacted with him in this story. Look back at how she dealt with him back when he was still cursed. She handled him like a pro, and I don't mean a pro maid. The pro maids stayed away from him as much as they possibly could, after all, and called him a monster behind his back. However, Ibelina knew quite well how to both stay in the role of a maid, yet also grant him the first dose of care and love he ever experienced in his life, but she also didn't bend over backwards for him. She spoke quite freely with him, to the point he occasionally appeared to be outraged by it, yet in the end he was the one to give in. Now, however, she seems to have suddenly lost all ability to be honest with him and speak her mind. She should realise that the simple fact Alejandro is always seeking her company gives her a lot of unwritten power over him, in good and in bad.
Only an absolute saint wouldn't fire an underling who steals away the love of one's life. In fact I couldn't even understand how Lorenzo would have the guts and audacity to keep working there after doing such a thing. Like seriously, first he would steal the duke's love and then just keep working for the duke, grinning at him every time they happened to meet. Would he also praise Ibelina, telling the duke all about how wonderful she's back home?
@sketchy333 It would be an awesome plot twist if she had to leave because Alejandro arranged it. If he realised he can't marry a maid and launched a lot to unmaid her, part of which would be sending her somewhere.

This is the time where Alejandro should realize the problem and act assertive, i don't actually care if he's abusing his power or something to protect Ibelina or even lift her to become a head maid or fiancee if needed... just told them all that she's the one who lift his curse, where the hell are you bitches when he was cursed ??!! he should just told all of them out loud, so they could just stfu. It's pisses me off actually about how hypocrite all of them (the maids, head maid, butler) they should be the one who knows their place.
Ibelina is also a kind of your classic oblivious FL and make her own life harder, should just be honest to Alejandro.... but ofc it'll end up like her narrative, she'll leave the mansion... that might good she isn't a maid anymore in the future.

I dont know why but why do I have a feeling that Ibee got magic powers. Lol
In this chapter it seems like when she felt really gloomy Ale felt so cold despite the fire place burning. ( the artist definitely illustrate the fireplace when that happened) I also consider the fact that he got wet from the rain so it’s a 50/50 speculation. Hehe
Well, it’ll be exciting if Ibee is an actual witch or magic user. I’m not satisfied with her being just a maid.

And Ibee demonstrates how "love" (she claims to be "protecting" and overworked/overstressed Alejandro, when in fact she's protecting herself) in fact is a selfish protection from fear. She's not being loving to either herself or Alejandro by not telling him what is really going on or her wishes, and instead is allowing things to continue on selfishly, resulting in misunderstandings and pain.
As for the Princess falling in love with Alejandro instead of Diego... woman, do you realize the clusterfuck that would produce? No, I suppose not because she doesn't see how she's impacted the story because she refuses to accept it, subconsciously out of fear. The boy has romantic feelings for you, Ibee! If the princess loves him, he won't necessarily love her back, and then what's gonna happen?! Um... will Diego do something then? [headdesk] What if she falls in love with Diego because of Alejandro pursuing her? If Alejandro refuses her and is beautiful already, wouldn't that create a completely different scenario than what took place in the book/Original Timeline?
Ibee is likewise acting incredibly selfishly by not being direct with either Lorenzo or Alejandro. She claims to not have any romantic feelings for him, but deep down she does. Worse too, she's also attracted to Lorenzo. I realize that on some level she's totally clueless, but at the same time, I wish she's wise up and stop hurting them both (or herself). She went from the heroine to now the villain without even realizing it... [headdesk] Furthermore, she's not a villain for failing to permit the two guys to date her/to end up in romantic relationships with her/marriage/sex/whatever. That's her right, but by not giving them direct, concrete answers she's effectively leaving no boundaries and creating mixed signals. OF course the guys in some way are no better, though at least Lorenzo is giving her the space that she needs, while Alejandro is being a petulant child who needs boundaries enforced, and just because he's a Duke, doesn't mean that he doesn't need to be told off once in a while. If she really had to, she could always quit. Of course, I'm not sure what Alejandro would do in those events... Heh. I sense things could get ugly...

god the recent chapters have made me feel so uncomfortable and grimey. like alejandro has no respect for ibelina and doesn’t realize the rumors and how FUCKED it is and he’s selfish, childish as fuck and ANNOYING. like i get hes the way he is because of the curse and shit but still bro, and ibelina can be dumb as FUCK sometimes like dude cmon now. really hope alejandro matures already, it’s just so weird to go from him lookin like he’s 6 to now lookin like he’s grown like UGH SOXJSOW
