the princess in the original novel was very vain, only cares if boys are pretty, and loves to mention her hostage position for pitty points, like being a hostage sucks but girl your a royal hostage with guest treatment and I am sure it was nothing like what Sansa experienced as a hostage in kings landing

Let's see...if she were to get adopted by a noble family then she can marry him right?

And time for the fallout.

Really, this is best for him. Turning one person into your sole refuge is bad for all parties, and he's constantly been a brat about it.

I'm...not sure why the princess is taking it so hard that his curse is lifted.

@Psychronia probably shock & he snubbed her royal. Also, she knows that she treated him I'll and likewise the curse was said to be unbreakable.

@Asbolus almost guaranteed that the Emperor will discover that Ibee broke the curse and he'll find some way to cart her off to marry the crown prince because she'll be named a "saint" or something. Unless this breaks with the trope.

Wow.. For a princess to let her long hair untied is weird indeed.
It might be just the artstyle.. But I prefer theirs had to be styled neatly.

Oh look at me I'm a hostage with fancy treatment better than a normal guest and I'm a hostage only in name...

Girl, who the heck cares about you? If you weren't a hostage nobody would care about you.

@TyShaye It was already said in previous chapters that it was inflicted by the princess' royal family. That's why it would be natural for the princess to be able to remove the curse (even without having knowledge of how to do so) if the plot followed the original storyline.

That also goes back to why Ibee wanted to keep the fact that she cured it a secret. She has no ties to the other kingdom, so questions would arise as to how a mere maid was able to break an unbreakable curse.

I'm sure we'll see those storylines play out as dramatically as possible in upcoming chapters. At least, I hope so!

@subliminal I didn't even think about that as a possibility. That would be an awesome twist! I mean, we never see her search for information about her past and she clearly gets shunted into the book without any notion of her age or even name, so it's not outside the realm of possibility that she has a deeper past that will come into play soon enough.

woah i've never thought about the extent that ibelina's presence affected alejandro. instead of eleanora being the first to connect with him (which i know ibelina has already changed), eleanora actually reminds him of his suffering!! all because his curse was broken already so long ago. daaamn, what a change in roles.
And
my heart started hurting when he tried to find ibelina as soon as he got home : (( that shit hurted.......
oh fucc i just realized how abandoned this might make him feel? especially since she promised him she'll stay by his side as long as he wants it. what the uckkcckkcj this HURTS
