Plus it was Haru that promised to write letters and took more than a month(ether he took his sweet time to write one or Japanese postal service is shit dude is busy so I guess it’s fine) for the letter to come to her and again she later wrote back but then you mentioned she never tried to communicate which she actually did.
And Megu was just luck she met him again if they never met in the conbini they would have 0 interaction.
Also I don’t know why you think Mayu was flirting I guess for some people when a female does friendly interaction with you she’s flirting with you.
