And really, Ritsu didn’t have any good reason to reject Ami like that. So, he must’ve been entertaining the Uta path for a long time without realizing it, and his piss-poor excuse for fake-dating seems like the “only option” only for him.

Uta on the other hand probably already legit felt like that, but committed to never spilling the beans until he showed interest in her. I’m assuming that’s her thought process.

So, in retrospect, they were both degenerates all along. Cute ones though.

Honestly as much as I wanna love this series, I can't for the life of me fathom what this guy's problem is with this cute, friendly gamer-girl wanting to spend time with him. Even if you argue she's being too clingy or he just doesn't wanna hang out that one day, why does he feel his only choice is to pretend his sister is his girlfriend? It just seems too forced for the sake of setting up the plot.

How else for the love of God can you steer the plot in incest direction? The trope is dumb, so the plot would be too. Idek why I'm reading this. As much as it pains me, I'm one hell of a hypocrite.
