Especially with the Olympics coming up in 2020, Japan is getting a lot of international pressure to class loli as child porn. Every so often leftist groups like the BBC send over reporters to bitch about it (better for people to be outraged at fucking Yuyushiki of all things than to notice the wretched state of their own country) and last I saw just a few days ago the UN was considering a resolution to adopt a definition of child porn that explicitly includes drawings.
Uran talked about this in one of his afterwords, outright saying he had not wanted to end Mujaki no Rakuen and that he did not do so for narrative or creative reasons, but solely because he did not believe it would remain possible to publish it in the near future and he wanted to end it on his own terms before he was shut down.
