Depends on the species of slime in Dragon Quest, and frankly that's pretty much the root of all slime characters in manga. Japan loves it some DQ references. The basic slime is probably what this guy resembles. They're probably like a breast implant in consistency if anything? See Dragon Quest puff puff for why I'd compare it to that. But there were also the more liquid type slimes that would be more like what you're talking about.
