In this world, slimes subconsciously develop artificial organs/biological behavior related to any lifeform they interact for a long time, a slime that interacts with humans (like Slime-chan and, by extension, chibi-slime) will experience human biology, even though they don't have any of the organs needed for that. I think this was explained early in the story.
