I've learned that in most manga, the theory of "Occam's Razor" tends to be true most of the time, with the exceptions being the rarity.
Occam's Razor is the theory that usually, the simplest answer to a problem is more likely the correct one
Examples:
A new character appears in a 2 pair romcom, artists draws them with far more effort than a mob, they appear on the cover art, have a whole chap dedicated to them, and they blushed ONCE when one of the main protags talked to them.
Copium readers: "THE NEW CHARACTER IS NOT A NEW LOVE INTEREST STFU COOMERS GO BACK TO WATCHING HENTAI YOU ACTUAL INCELS!!!!" 😡
Author: "So here is my new character, they are the new love interest, also here is a bonus extra love interest too just cause I feel like it. This a harem now K?"
I apologize for my bad use of english, I don't actually speak english IRL, my real native tongue is latin american spanish.That's lazy thinking and furthermore has nothing really to do with Occam's Razor. The latter is misquoted and misinterpreted by just about everyone. It actually means not to overcomplicate problem solving by adding factors that aren't yet present or evident. The idea that the simplest explanation is often correct is itself an oversimplification of the idea.
Furthermore, it's a problem solving tool, not a literary tool. A manga or any other body of work HAS to have 'twists' which means almost by definition it requires scenarios and conundrums to which the reader does not yet have access to all factors. That is completely opposite to what either interpretation of Occam's Razor points to.
The main question is what in the plot actually is this complicated body of factors. That's where lazy thinking comes in, thinking even literary scenarios need follow some straightforward path, and therefore being content with such. That's how you get garbage writing and garbage consumption.
And just to top it off, Ange not being a bitch but rather just being affected by Jelly is the "simplest" explanation. You only need see her interact with Jelly, and know Jelly has a bad reputation to which everyone else has an adverse reaction. You're the one implying a more complicated scenario where one has to interpret the author's intention for a new character to be that of an intended recurring gag.
I never would have responded this much, except you just had to go there. Don't go quoting and 'explaining' Occam's Razor like it's some great definition you're privy to when you're misusing it and misunderstanding it.

I could not find a more "mainstream" term to refer to this, so I went with Occam's Razor, and purposely simplified it for people who don't know what it is.
The term itself is not the main point of what I was trying to get to, just the closest thing I could find for the purpose of an example of how mangaka tend to go towards the most predictable routes more often than not.
Another way to say it would be "If the shoe fits, it fits" I guess, but that term is kind of old so I assumed not a lot of young people would get it.
If you know an easier, more newbie friendly term for this thing than Occam's Razor, I would be glad to learn it.

As I said in the edited version of my post, I elaborated further on why just assuming mangaka go the most predictable routes is itself lazy thinking. It means as a reader, you are looking for tropes instead of the twists. Worse than coming to the wrong answer, you're asking the wrong questions. An easy trap to fall into if you have free access to thousands of manga like on this site and binge read series after series, but still, it's no excuse.
What shoe fits here? As I elaborated, you are just assuming trope is the answer, and you ignore scenarios where it is not. That is not a simple or complicated explanation. It is not any explanation at all.
You didn't purposefully simplify it, and in any case, it's serving as an indicator of your lazy thinking that's the problem, not the term itself. If you intended to make it simple to understand, you wouldn't have used a term at all and just said exactly what you thought it meant....which you did anyway, in spoiler brackets, to show how big boy you are. Stop talking out of your ass.
