Hmm, I guess this disproves the theory that Jelly, the Slime, was actually the "real" Jelly, and the one we've all been seeing acting evil was some imposter who had taken over... Kind of a shame, I actually really liked the theory and its implications.
Rather, having the goddess just accept it, and even happy that the actual original Jelly is rather odd - hadn't the goddess chosen the original Jelly as a Saintess? How did she turn out evil if the Goddess chose her, presumably for her character?
And someone can just possess the chosen Saintess, and also become the Saintess now?... That's... kinda dumb of the Goddess.
Honestly, I think I'd have preferred Jelly just bumbling about and pretending to be a Saintess, and just happening to do good things. Never really being a Saintess, but being heralded as a great one.
On a quick tangent here, has anyone else noticed that each Saintess seems to embody one type of sin of sorts?
The current Jelly; Glutton
The Other Saintess is obsessed with being a good Saintess and its rules; Pride
The Other other Saintess is Envious of Jelly and her fame; Jealousy
And the Previous Jelly was of course a violent malicious rat of a person; Wrath
I wonder if this is going anywhere, or if I'm seeing a pattern where there is none?
