I would agree but then I remember that she can't exactly bleed normally... her paranoia is understandable
It is understandable from the character standpoint, and I agree.
From a narrative standpoint though that paranoia has been well established since the start. But the author feels the need to repeat that point at length every time a new character is introduced. It almost looks like padding. The whole previous chapter basically is all about that with the bodyguard, which I know is important to establish their dynamic. Then we get that with him again at the start of this chapter (as a recap maybe), and then we get it again concerning the father. I'm not mentioning all the previous cases.
It gets to the point I want to say : "Yes! I get it! She's afraid to be found out! You don't have to waste so many pages to tell me that again!"

I guess I've become too genre savvy for this sort of comedy trope.

At the same time, maybe the Author just wants an excuse to draw funny expressions with her.

I'm sure she could hand-wave her 'clear' blood being goddess-related if not some split slimes always having some red paint on them at all times to do so or whatever tho i imagine the story ends with Jelly either saving the world, or being 'found out' but still accepted or so (i'd feel sorry for the father but i'd understand the servants and everyone else preferring a slime)

das crazy, and Jelly was already a saint before this. what's the lore with og!Jelly and her father?
If this wasn’t a comedy it’d be an interesting psychologically messed up twist if there was series of “selected”
Saints who get “blessed”’but also absorb a demon at the same time with temptation and having to “overcome it” With their revelation/willpower

That might not be a good thing, i swear one of the beginning chapters said that Jelly got so spoiled that she turned out this way as opposed to her parents also potentially being corrupt too, tho maybe she did also get possessed/something affecting the OG personality before her death lol

OG Baby Jelly looks cute and innocent tho, but at least the father is saved from the heartbreak of learning that there was an assasination attempt
Seeing how terrified her father was of her, I doubt OG Jelly got spoiled by her father at the very least.

I mean they seem happy in that cover, so i imagine something must've happened early on in her childhood as opposed to her being born 'demonic' and they were pressured to give her up from birth versus a sudden change to where the whole town/country knows her 'reputation' lol

Can you imagine going up to some bitch who bullied you with a Cross and holding it up to her face.
Being like "begone demon" LOL. Although I never had any women bully me as a teen.

Thanks for the translation ToruScans

Hah, having Jelly's own father lend credence to the possession cover-up story is a huge boon - hopefully, she'll recognize it as such (who am I kidding, she won't)

Even her father is terrified of the original Jelly! Yikes! She was unquestionably a colossal evil bitch.

Thanks! (IDK if it's just me but pages are slow loading, you'd think maintenance yesterday would've helped but oh well i'll read the chapter later)

LOL hero is amusing in his devotion tho i wonder how they'd handle it if jelly just said i need to go to the toilet/take a bath or so b/c i imagine he couldn't be in that area too if not right outside versus a female knight being assigned

oh dang, jelly's father is alive, even tho it said she was spoiled at the beginning i half expected her to have killed her parents or so lol

Dang he is built, if he's like "the rosary doesn't work" does that mean it has in the past, or did he leave as soon as jelly started showing 'changes' and left to try to 'solve' her evil villainous self haha
Yeah it means the demon really did took over the old Jelly's body. I won't be shocked since there's an evil group try to destroy the saints.

What better way would be than make Jelly corrupted by demons and make people thinks "Saint are actually evil"

Well that plan no longer work... This is SLIME now lol

I see so the demons did corrupt the old Jelly
