@Kirin-kun - Every romanization of that title was inaccurate. The verb in the title means "to leap" or "to fly", and I didn't want to make it sound like "The Girl Who Leapt (through time)". Worse was the listing in
IMDB, which was "The Terrible Couple", and had only the word "Couple" in common with the meaning.
From the translation helper / dictionary lookup program I wrote some nine years ago:
Original: 翔んだカップル
Kana: とんだ カップル
Romaji: tonda kappuru
Definitions:
翔んだ (とんだ) = [Plain Positive Past] (oK) (v5b,vi) (1) to fly/to soar/(2) to jump/to leap/to spring/to bound/to hop/
カップル =
couple/(P)/
Additional thought: With a little stretch of meaning, you could say something like "The Couple That Flew Away", or "The Couple That Flew The Coop."
