“if you take my sex drive away, what even is there left?” cryingggg such an emotional chapter but (i’m guessing) it wrapped up this volume very well! even if they move out of the house, as long as they have cigarettes and each other, life will go on for these two :’)

looking forward to the next volume! thank you for your hard work as always!

I always forget they are supposed to be middle-aged men because the author draws them so youthfully. Kissing in public feels like they really don't about people's opinion anymore. Just live your best life guys !!

I'm biased cause they're my age, but I think the author does a pretty good job of drawing them as modern late 30 somethings. I feel like especially in the scenes with teenagers - the cram students or Azuma's nephew, it's really clear that they're older but not elderly. Just went back and even the drawings of them in their 20s vs 30s, the hair is doing a lot of the work but the author has also managed to show a bit the difference in facial structure and expression.

I kinda like the ambiguous but they clearly care for each other relationship they've got going, especially with Kuji off for six months. Felt like major character growth for Azuma that he turned down a fling b/c he wasn't feeling it.

Mostly I'm thrilled that there are more volumes 😄

Also biased, being of a comparable age, but amused (and quietly mortified) by the thought of 30-somethings apparently being ancient 😭 Azuma says it best: we’re all just pretending to be adults, honest.

I think it's mostly cause they're just so rare in manga, especially single childless folks like Azuma and Kuji. Even most of the adults in Fruits Basket are in their 20s 😭
It also doesn't help that so many artists basically draw everyone between like 15-50 the same way and then everyone >50 like they've got one foot in the grave.
