I'm the artist, and no, I don't use A.I. art. I very much draw the art myself, I do use 3D background assets here and there to make the pages happen faster though. All that I did between the 4koma and current page layouts is I more than doubled the time I spend per page because I like the story I wrote for my comic and felt it deserves the added effort. If I used A.I. art I am sure I could do more than one page a week.
