I definitely get where you're coming from, but at the same time all of that shit helps to show that Hinata isn't actually just a pushover dreamy idol prince - she's willing to go along with a lot of shit, but she's got a much more forceful side that won't take shit (in the right circumstances, i.e. when it's causing issues for Shun). And that feeds into the dynamics of her relationship with Shun, making the stuff where she's almost losing her self-control more believable.

Still, all this crap with Hinata owing her fans stuff, and all the associated manipulations and so forth are definitely the weakest part of this story.

Honestly, I'm only here to see Yua being smug and, potentially, happy with a side ship of her own in the future.

Despite it being quite fresh that the confession happened so early, it also makes things feel rather... settled? I mean, there will be absolutely no surprises here, unless things really turn super dramatic and psychological all of a sudden, so it's just a slightly modernized callback to 2007 when "girl prince" mangas were all the rage.
