I'm afraid my ability to read has become all too fast that I've been left with desolate hopes for more.

To people wondering, the LN and WN diverge a good amount, and I'm pretty sure this is based on the WN, so if you plan to start reading one of the novels from where the manga is, you're stuck with either reading the WN or just reading the LN from the beginning. Personally, I chose the LN when I was faced with the decisions because I like this series enough that I wanted to support the author by buying the physical book anyway.

@Heika I’m confused as to what LN and WN’s are, and also what have I been reading this whole time?! Is this neither a LN or WN? So this is considered to be the manga? So the LNs and WNs are ahead of the manga right? But like you said they’re a bit different from each other.

@kotsu I see that you just discovered the world of light and web novels, so I welcome you and hope you enjoy your stay. Now for the nitty-gritty, manga/light novel/web novel are different types of mediums. The Original work of Kumo desu ga started as an independent Web Novel project, imagine it like a web book basically. Then Yen Press saw the potential and offered the Author, Okina Baba, an opportunity to get their work published as an official series (book-press and all), so both parties could benefit and make tons of money. When a series goes under the change of web novel to light novel they suffer a lot of revisions and offer the author the opportunity to make some changes to their original work if they feel like or want to refine it as they improve their writing skills compared to the start of the series. Make notice that a work getting the light novel treatment doesn't mean the author will stop writing the web novel, so you generally find the web novel being way ahead compared to the light novel. And in some cases, the two get enough changes making them totally different by the end of the publishing of the series.

The manga for web novel/light-novel based series is generally half-assed/poorly adapted just to serve as advertising material to the light novel counterpart.

Sorry if I went on a tangent.

@personal852 Shit changes because the publisher has other writers work on errors and story to hopefully make it more marketable or so I've read. Though there are manga based on WN, not sure if orhow many are based on the WN when there is a LN. Not sure if there are animes based on WN over LN or manga

As long as the serialization process actually improves the original work, I guess it's a good thing. I've yet to hear about a case where the process has gone wrong thou. And even if the anime adapts to a WN without the LN, I think the writers from publishers would still modify the WN e.g., the storyboard. This assumption somehow makes me wonder about cases where the author actually disagrees with the direction the publisher takes, but still gives in to them because such a disagreement could result in the whole serialization being canceled.

You can start reading from the chapter 161. Kumoko arrives at the town and decides to settle down.
