I like the art that went into the design of the building and the story's overall concept, what I don't like is the design of the co-MC, to be precise; the design of the Master Dwarf, Kirk. Come on, using a child like design for a character that is supposed to be mature, rich in life experiences and highly skilled at a given profession?
"Oooh its okay because he is supposed to be a dwarf". Then lean heavily into a dwarven design. I find a child like character, annoying. Whether their behavior is childlike(goofy, fun loving, etc etc) or serious or smug, its all the same to me; downright annoying.

Stepping away from the char design, the building design, from chapter 1 and 2 looks good for a fantasy setting. Really stepping away from lots of other fantasy, fantasy-isekai and modern fantasy's structural designs.
Reminds me of this two page promo art for Naruto Shippuden. The one where Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura were reimagined as Dungeon and Dragon or Dragon Quest class/job stereotype. In the background there is a glimpse of a very detailed log cabin.

I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THIS ART STYLE!!! I thought it looked similar to Marry Grave (a pretty good manga that was, alas, axed in its prime), and lo and behold, it is indeed the same mangaka!

The only reason I didn't give this a 10 is that the "dwarves" don't have beards.

Chapter 30
Kirik abandons his home after witnessing war. The humans wage war on his home and kill everyone they can before retreating. Kirik stumbles upon a pile of dead humans and is traumatized. His Chimera friend Mixy comes to his aid as human warriors surround him and attempt to attack him. As Mixy does their best to fight off the attackers, Kirik decides it's a good idea to try and stop Mixy and get between Mixy and the humans who are trying to kill Kirik.

Six days after the humans have left the dwarven capital, Kirk awakens from his battle induced coma. He's haunted by NOT the deaths of the dwarves, but the humans who came and massacred his friends. Haunted by their deaths and the realization that his weapons were not just for killing monsters, he abandons the dwarves and journeys out into the wilderness.

It was this chapter that turned me away from the story. His absolutely alien response to the death of his comrades, his lack of patriotism or comradery is so bizarre and strange that I can't relate to him or his feelings.
