This is just my assumption from someone that don't read the novel version. My guess is his "core power" is more appropriate to be something like "Delete" than "Instant Kill" . Since killing mean to make something "not alive" . If we consider his power as "Delete" then even the power of "Concept" and everything in the existence will be inferior to his ability. This is just my guess though + sorry for my bad English .

For Example : He didn't kill someone but he delete their "life" and that's why healing can't do anything to fix the result of his power because "life" doesn't exist anymore for that target. If killing is "Destroy Life" then it can still be "Repair" but in "Delete" case it will be something like "Cease of existence" which is more permanent, unless you use something in the opposite site like "Create" to make a new concept of life for that target then any other type of fixing will be useless.
