Technically he was killed by an ambush made of united force of a national level hunter, all three marshals and the whole Shadow Army, so this wasn't that - he and his forces were simply overwhelmed ¯\(ツ)/¯

Correct. And he wasn't even facing Jin Woo, who at that time was 1 vs. 3 other Monarchs. So, technically, his fight against hunters wasn't remarkable, simply because he got defeated not by the MC, so his screen time was minimal.

kinda surprising given that giant got slaughtered while still chained. I think the difference between them is just the size. Orcs and goblins are monstrous humanoids, while anything too big is a giant
