@truepurple The mother is comatose in a hospital bed. She can't visit the daughter's school. The MC is an adult, so I suppose he would act as the underage sister's de facto guardian. He has been earning the family's money, anyway, by being a hunter, full-time.

College is a scam. Only useful if you have a specific career in mind that's worthwhile for the time and money you'll spend on college. Hunter work is dangerous but she's definitely making more than like 70% of college grads that'll be in debt before their first crap job.
