really pissed at someone (after this chapter I don't think it gonna be hard to guess who that person is) but we get see one great mofo boss from past too. Rest of story goes in typical manner (with small exception i guess) so nothing really exceptional there

And yes art and various plot decisions in this manga really smooth up bumps from LN (like anti japanese themes in jeju island arc)

@Demaciano welp, Solo Leveling have the Power Ranger syndrome, that the MC isnt the most powerfull being but he will not encounter any of the opponents that could actually beat him until he is ready for them

I guess it’s Solo Leveling, not Subtle Leveling. In case you’re wondering why Hwang (the one whose brother was self defended to death by protagonist-kun) is basically a punching bag at this point in the story, it’s because he’s a traitor. This concept is probably unfamiliar to people who live in NA or EU, but basically, Hwang leaving South Korea to go work for the US is seen a treasonous by most Asian standards, even though it’s legal. It’s a little too on-the-nose, to be honest.
