First, awesome to finally see a staffed ... whatever this type of site is called. Manga park has been getting worse and worse with chapters from different comics getting mixed together, pages not loading, duplicate entries, entries out of order... and so on and no way to report issues. And lots of other sites are similar to MP. You also don't seem to trim quality like other sites do, or at least not as bad. I could have sworn I visited this site before and it was a unstaffed bot site like the rest. Well I see some other posts with no replies too so we'll have to see how staffed it is but any effort at all to keep down some of the big issues you find elsewhere is appreciated.

So in my settings I have English set as my language. But when I go to view a comics chapter list it is still showing me all the languages. How do I hide the non-English entries? Something similar was asked here https://mangadex.org/thread/56418

I see in in a comics main home area it shows a progress bar for what chapter you are on. But that always says zero. And I can't find a bookmark function to keep track of how far I have read in a comic so I can go back latter. Is there something I am missing here?

To show only English chapters, you need to set your chapter filter language. See https://mangadex.org/chapter/449568/1

For the progress tracker to work, you need to be following the title in question.

TY. So is there a bookmark function existing or planned where you can just mark a page as your progress point? Or is the only option the imputing the chapter number? Also does that actually do anything, like take you to the chapter in question or just a reminder for one to manually go to the chapter themselves?

The tracker only records the chapter, not the page. There isn't a function to record a page. We may add one later.

The progress tracker is just a recording of where you have read up to, like how myanimelist does it. There are plans to display this information on the MDList soon.

I'm not familiar with myanimelist. So to be clear, you have to see what chapter your on on the comics home page and manually find that chapter in the list and go to it? The website doesn't provide a shortcut link to said chapter in any form like MP does?

If it helps, easy way is basically what you said. As long as you know what chapter you are at, you can go to that chapter and when you go back to the manga homepage, it will show it has been read, even if all you did was load the first page of it. This is assuming you have the manga marked as "Reading". If you feel like you want to mark all the chapter, just go to the start, and start skipping through the chapters. All of the ones you go through will get marked. And yes, you will have to do this with each one you want marked like this.

Personally, I just worry about the most recent chapters I have read, saves me a lot of time, and just bookmark any of them that you are interested in reading, or place them in the "Plan to read" part (same button as the Follow/Reading).

I am not sure if I am completely understanding you. I also don't understand the mechanical differences between the various categories of bookmarking comics, or is there a mechanical difference? Or is it just a built in/non-flexible label? It seems to me though that having to view the comics page, note the chapter set and then hunt down the chapter, every time you want to read, alot of work. So is this the "save alot of time" version of doing things?

Is there a mechanical difference between any of the various categories that you can bookmark comics under?

I'm fairly certain it's just there for your own categorizing needs.

Just be aware that "Completed" will automatically mark all chapters as read, and unfollowing a title will unread all chapters for that title.

Oh and don't put too many mangos as "Plan to read", you might end up forgetting about them, and as months pass by, the heap inevitably becomes unmanageable ^^
