After reading through every available chapter, I only counted 27 jokes I found funny, which is kind of concerning for a series where jokes are the main premise

I reckon a lot of the humour comes from Japanese punning which is rarely translatable in a way that keeps the comedy.
But I also like to think that it shows that Mimei and Kurage are quite similar - Mimei sends in loads of entries and very few of them are read out, Kurage says loads of jokes but only so many can land.
