J-Novel Club has a really good track record regarding translations in general, so I doubt they'll change the entire narrative to fit any specific agenda.

I'm really glad it was licenced by them tho, but at the same time I'm sad there won't be Waluigi memes anymore.

Well the official been out since 2022 with 3 volumes out and there been no drama with J-Novel, don't think there been any drama with them changing narratives in series they translated though

I was angry about this too, but it seems like they dropped that after the first volume. The 2nd and 3rd volume don't feel like they allude to that anymore

I believe the Japanese publisher learned about the change and forced them to recall the 1st volume and change it, so at least that happened.

It's not seven seas lol. And they're already pretty decently through translating it with zero such issues

The translator was freelance and is still working. She could easily get work with J-Novel. It may not have been J-Novel in the past, but it could be easily be them as long as translators like her are the ones getting the jobs.

J-novel club has far better quality control than seven seas. She'd be fired if she tried pulling that shit there

JNC has printed light novels before, but it seems like it's only if they get enough sales. And this series in particular would be hard because it's full color. That said, malding about it instead of supporting the actual author/publisher won't change that.
