I do need a demon witness though: A small joke gets lost in translation here. The Chinese term for witness is '人证', with the first character meaning human/man. He corrects himself with '人...妖证', changing the 'human' to 'demon'

Does Qu Chen know he was born a prince or did his master never tell him to avoid any 'attachment'?
It's continuing from her first sentence, they sting any eyeballs that looks at her.

On another note, Qu Chen got a premonition of good fortune when he felt A-ting's ascension. It makes sense. Qu Chen knows the only cultivator that managed to deal damage on Xiang Liu was Ling Xi, and now Ling Xi's core is merged into A-ting. That's how she fits into the larger storyline: she's probably the only one that can kill Xiang Liu.

Kunlun was going to retrieve Qu Chen when he was a baby but Cang Wuzy got to him first. That's what the last line entails.
Still, these big seniors of Kunlun don't realize how lucky they are. Although they couldn't get Qu Chen, they got his sister A-ting who might actually have a bigger role to play in resolving the Heavenly Cataclysm than Qu Chen himself.
They are lucky and don't even know it.

I believe Kunlun was actually after A-Ting. They didn't actually know who their disciple was, and just assumed it was Qu Chen because their detector stopped reacting after he was taken away. A-Ting was also moved away and abandoned at the same time. So Kunlun ended up getting their disciple after all.

I was thinking of that too! Plus xiang liu is "evil" since he takes life with his poison and her Dao is "eradicating evil" so by logic she will always be stronger than it 😆
I like the contrast between the way the Penglai and Kunlun cultivators think about this. Cang Wuzi's disciples at Penglai require sound reasoning before deciding to attack, while the Kunlun cultivators' motivations are basically like "Xiang Liu is causing too many problems, he needs to go".

I love how everyone is having a serious discussion with serious faces, and then there's white ape being like a fish out of water. He and A-Ting would be great friends.
I think he knows. Because he just seems to know everything, with how smartypants he is.
Imo, i think they don't know the baby's gonna be twins. A-ting got abandoned cause she born with six fingers which viewed as a bad omen. If she didn't born with six fingers, i bet she also gonna be taken away along wih her brother by Cang Wushi. By some fate they got separated and she end up in kunlun. Even if kunlun was actually after A-Ting, they still got lucky to get her in the end, even tho the process is not a pleasant one
