Living in a world where not taking responsibility seems to be the norm, it is endearing to see one where people actually know what to do.

I can't fault people for not taking responsibility, as trouble all rolls down hill. Can not blame people for wanting to take care of them selves and situations, but that doesn't mean I will not hope for better from those at the top of the hill.

this is definitely gonna be a difficult proxy war. how do you determine what mortals did by their own volition vs. meddling caused by cultivators quickly enough to make the right decisions? everyone's just gonna point fingers and do what they want in the end. i think that's what the pink mask cultivator was really implying in the previous chapter.

it's fun seeing how much Ah-ting changed things with her actions as an angry little girl. the bandit she and her grandpa spared is the one who saved the eunuch who can now warn Grandma to make the proper political moves. i love it. but i'm worried about Grandma, she'll have less protection without kind bandit dude.
