Crazy how she finds any and every way to blame her husband for the issues SHE'S causing for their daughter

Some mothers have no right to be mothers

Crazy how she literally suggested that he should physically drag Ichika to school or slap her to make her go

Ok cool you were abused when you were a child, however to try and give your child the same experience makes you a horrible piece of shit

Day 7 of still waiting for the divorce to happen

So let me get this straight. She forbids her daughter and the father (Im not going to call him her husband) to have a father and daughter relationship for like 10+ years. And now shes expecting him to act like a one. How?

I can somewhat understand why mr father hasnt filed a divorce yet. Probably still feeling the guilt. But I dont understand why mrs mother hasnt filed one. She doesn't have any reason to keep the marriage, she doesnt love him anymore, she doesnt want her daughter to have a father daughter relationship. The only reason I can think of is shes only keeping the marriage for mr fathers money. But, child support law exists. One petty reason I can think of is she doesnt want to lose custody of her daughter. Shes afraid that her daughter would chose her father.

Man, this series is just wild. Senko-san, thank you as always for the sl!

I agree with you, but youre also ignoring that she immediately recognized that what she suggested was wrong and clearly feels awful about it.

Frankly, her major issue is believing that words speak louder than actions, despite commenting that her husbands actions, not his words, were why she fell in love with him.

I really hope that MC can learn to understand that his way of communication doesnt blend with his wife's(and thats not a bad thing as long as they can learn to understand each other). But she really needs to understand where her husband was coming from and see how much he loves her and his daughter. If he didnt love them, the easy action would have been to get a divorce as soon as the tape was put down and he was limited access in his own house. But he respected her and puts up with it.

She does love him. Or at least, she loves the memory of who she married. Somehow, she thinks his words about the abortion outweighs the intent (his care for her wellbeing) and all his other actions that show how much he loves her and their daughter.

Someone get this woman a therapist, or send them both to marriage counseling. Literally, a third party explaining where hes coming from in words (since she values that over actions), would help him explain himself and help her see that hes still the guy she married, even if hes more worn out.

AND she's glad he didn't. She literally told him to do something that would have upset her. And we both know she'd find a way to blame him for all that if he actually did it.
So was the dad incapable of seeing a single red flag prior to marrying her because of his personality or something.
A man's greatest folly is thinking he can fix a broken woman.
God I hope the teacher is competent and realizes that she is the one being abusive.
He already did.

A quick reminder that she hates being made to take any kind of agency above all else. The abortion thing was literally her being upset about having to choose between aborting the child, or prioritizing her own health. Simple conversations with other people are difficult, at best.

This is not fixable. She is not fixable. The solution was to let her die alone.

Ah, if Im not wrong, in the chapter where she met the teacher. She became very tense when the teacher brought up the tape, kept saying some line 'its not his business'. I guess thats one indicator that even marriage counseling is going to be very very very difficult.

Other indicator I just thought of is shes locked into thinking that talking and listening to him is useless. Meanwhile I believe in marriage counseling, talking and listening is crucial.

So unless shes willing to change that. I think its next to impossible to fix this broken glass

Easy to say that, but it's pretty obvious she didn't even realize it was bad until just now. Sure, that doesn't make it okay, but she's not the heartless monster we thought she was at the beginning of the manga.

I think this manga is good because, while other manga have flat villains who are evil for the sake of it, this one has a character who hardly even realizes what she's doing is out of the ordinary. It adds depth where other manga are lacking.

I want to believe that none of you are actually like this in real life, and that all the vitriol is just from y'all being too accustomed to irredeemable villains that are constructed just so we can hate them.
