The left side is the number 1 in various formats(?). So the first vertical bar is 1 as a 1. the second vertical bar is also 1 but written in roman numerals. The third is the kanji of 1 (ichi). So in the boxes to the right you're supposed to write out the names of each numeral system. 1.arabic, 2.roman,3.kanji (written in katakana=japanese alphabet). Therapy isn't the end all be all. Tbh I don't think it's nearly as useful as people push.
