Take this with a grain of salt: A while back, I looked at the Vietnamese chapters, and from what I remember, Ichika runs away from home and goes to live with her aunt (Kazumi's older sister) and her grandfather. After some time, the creepy professor invites Kazumi to his house following a conversation at a restaurant, tries to force himself on her, but she rejects him. Then, he attempts to kill himself. I stopped reading after Reitaro went to visit the professor in the hospital.

That would be hard to do, since the english are way behind the latest raws.

A whole lot more happens beyond what @Litreara mentioned, that was only scratching the surface.

Multiple arcs have come and gone already in the raws, I would have to write a huge wall of text to describe the many years in the story that happen, cause the story continues beyond the daughter growing up, and multiple new characters appear with their own spotlights.

Thanks for the chapter. Idk bros this dad sometimes make some silly decisions - it’s a balancing act of trying to make the over-caring crybaby mom happy and also listen to the daughter. In that situation he just heard the daughter and then she clearly had a reason - get the reason before you smack a kid. What a goob sometimes

Pages 18 to 21 especially might be helpful to reader comprehension to translate the SFX. Otherwise they might not pick up on Kazumi audibly crying and Ichika nodding in admission to Reitaro's questions.
