Edit: i re-read chapter 16.1 and it explains what the sigil is. The sigil allows him to teleport to wherever (or in this case, whoever) he wants as long as the sigil is placed on the place or person.

Killing him would remove any possible threat to MILF, as MC decided to act when he turned to look away, but he could still have tortured or killed her without looking, a uneeded risk in my opinion.
Of course MC could still teleport, but given the guy reflexes and man absrobing ability that even the sword feared it was a dumb move, a instant kill before revealing himself was the best solution, as MC knew of the bastard power there was no reason to delay it, and he had more than enough reason for killing, a satisfating punch doesn't fixes it.
