I don't think that's a right conclusion to reach about a situation like this. There can be disagreements about a translation since japanese can be a very ambiguous language that depends on the context so much even native japanese can interpret apparently very straightfoward wording in different ways. I don't know the reason why the other group started, but as someone who did some scanlation in the past, I think it's ok to have more than one group working on the same manga if that's what they want to do and are passionate about it.

In the end is a matter of preference, I prefer this scanlator, in fact. But it's nice to have other interpretation. What doesn't help is flocks of morons snarking at the other group and making bad blood for stupid reasons. Like, you can ignore the other release or block it.

I'm not gonna block a group doing another set of translations unless one of the two is explicitly trashy scans (zero proof reading, terrible type setting, inserting shitty memes and slang not found in the original, etc). Both these groups are quality so its cool if they both wanna upload their takes.

Because translation isn't always an exact science, I appreciate the different ways this manga's been translated. For example, the potato people use a lot more of the mannerisms and expressions I'd expect from kids that age these days, while the original group is less casual in comparison.

There are some benefits to the less casual version, in that the slang of today often becomes the cringe of tomorrow.
Both are just as valid, so why not just appreciate the differences?

One of the things I love about having two teams on this manga is that it keeps them honest. A little friendly competition ensures that they both have to do their best. And for us fans, if one of the team falls behind like this, the other team is there to pick up the slack. I can't remember how many times each team has released first, and I think it's great.
