Watching it live and watching it recorded is different.

She looks so odd with that slick hair on the ad. And a lot of forehead.

That food looks like one big mess. Kinda like it, though I can't eat all seafood.

Still a relatively sudden end without much substance, as usual, but it works.

Sigh, what a waste.

There was so many threads they could have expanded on after the whole Mandate of Heaven arc. I get the "romance" is complete, but I wanted to see them grow together as a couple. Like come on, just drama caused by Marin's "fans" upon finding out she has a boyfriend could have been used to further strengthen Gojo's confidence, the little childhood crush issue could have been fleshed out more, and not to mention the whole "author was trying to track down who created the costume" thing.

The ending is...ok, i guess. Would have preferred it to include a bit more direct mention on Marin's cosplaying later down in life, instead of her just becoming a model. Good on them actually getting married but doesn't feel complete at all. Hoping the epilogue and side story (why does it need a side story? I just want more Gojo and Marin doing stuff) rounds this off a bit better.

S/N: Thanks Church of Potteto for all the work on the series these past 7 years. You guys are great, literally one of the few groups I will wait for their version of release.

I was expecting cosplay hina dolls! Or SOMETHING. But not even seeing a photo of these supposedly different dolls felt like a cop-out.

The only thing I hope for is that maybe the reveal was saved for the epilogue as the final panel for the series to come back full circle to the fact that everything started with him struggling to make dolls. Otherwise it feels like that same sort of lazy writing you get in other series where characters look to be in a hopeless predicament then it just cuts to the aftermath and one of them says "somehow we got through that!" and then move on without ever addressing what actually happened.

It's practically writing 101 that you should never draw attention to something that you have no intention of paying off (with the exception of off-hand or passing references that are meant for flavor and world-building. But that's not what this is.)

Why is it tagged "end" when it said there will be 2 chapters more?

Sad to see this get axed just when it finally started developing the main-plot again, after pretty much pausing it for several arcs. Even worse that it happened just as it finally properly began said main-plot, getting past the preparatory part where they haven't gotten together yet. This always happens with mangas that has any romance in them :shamihuh:, taking oddly long to get past the start and then ending just as they finally enter the interesting meat of the story :pout:
because this is the official ending, anything else is extras (the epilogue and side stories)

Thanks , kinda half expected some flash forward of them in their 30s

I know there’s an anime but wonder if this would ever become a live action too unless that’d be too tedious for the cosplays

Huh, so the author decided to go with the classic time skip in the final chapter. Overall, the story had a great beginning, but it definitely lost some steam in the middle-to-late sections, making them feel pretty underwhelming. As for the ending, it wasn’t great, it wasn’t terrible— it just feels very abrupt.

Thanks for the chapter!
I still feel like the author initially intended to have Akira be Gojo's childhood friend, the moment she was revealed to be just a new character was when the story started marching full speed towards the end, like the author didn't care about the story anymore.

This last chapter itself is cute, but it is a bit disappointing how abrupt it was and how so many plot points were dropped. I think I might have preferred to have the last chapter set when they were still in high school to help tie it up a bit more and l have the time skip in the extras. Let's see how the extras will be.

I'm sad this is the end. I've been following this story for a long time already and I enjoyed it a lot. I even enjoyed the long search for the perfect fabric. Shame the author had to stop, but better stopping early than overstaying its welcome.

Thanks to everybody that worked on this series. I appreciate it a lot!

Romance writers should get some relationship experience... I swear a lot of romance manga end this way because they have no experience other than the overemphasized confession
