Ive left comments on other manga endings of what i call the new guard, (nagatoro, dress up, takagi, senpai, komi, glasses) there was an arms race for shojo/romcom mangakas to write what i call passed confession arcs. I called it that it would make or break alot of these authors. Even though this manga years ago in the nisekoi era or even farther in the maid sama era would not be looked at with any scrutiny you cant help but feel that the author burnt out and couldnt live up to the arms race and decided to end it quickly. I thought this was going to be a manga about the ins and outs of the professional cosplay community and insight on professional costume designing and modeling with romance being the secondary focus but the author literally did the "make a super dramatic conflict over nothing for the characters to make up and confess their feeling to a quick wrap up ending" trope. I loved the highs of this manga but yet again its ending was disappointing. I may be able to go back and reread this one and appreciate it for what it is down the line

tbf when these mangas get anime adaptions you see the manga updates become fewer and far between. Like we was with csm and spy family. Those may be cases where the mangaka gets the lucky oppurtunity to be a part of the anime creative process. But those work environments can end up burning out the mangaka themselves and causing them to stop making manga/their current work like it did with Akira's Otomo. Maybe thats what happened. Who knows. I know its messed up bc they still managed to crank out over a hundred chapters but the pacing of this story still felt like there was so much more story left to tell.

It's a shame the manga sort of fizzled out, given how much further the author could have pushed the premise.

Nevertheless, many adorable moments and beautiful panels were had so it was a net gain

Looking forward to seeing what the author cooks up next with the experience they built up with this manga.

Ugh, I can’t say I’m happy with it all. It was basically a nothing chapter. The manga was popular and the anime was hype visuals. To see it end with lackluster is a disappointment. No I am not happy it ended this way at all, even if people are looking for that silver lining. That’s just excuses for a way too abrupt ending to an amazing manga.

Well, my heart did skip a beat when they showed the solo photo of the Grandpa, I thought he had passed away for a second.

I'd rate that ending as a solid, okay. We got to see Wakana fulfil his dream of being a Hina doll maker, and Marin is a professional model (and by the looks of it still cosplays) and they got married which is great, but there is so much more this manga could of done so it just feels unfinished.

Hoping we see some art of the wedding in the extras.

Looks like the author is really bad at ending things.
We didnt even get a proper ending. Just another day. No wedding vows, none of the cosplayers future were seen and no clear thing about Marin's career. Like wtf

Thank you for translating!!! I mean this is an okay ending... i like it honestly and yeah it feels (pretty underwhelming-) like we missed a lot between this one and basically everything else... if it has something to due with the mangaka's health i understand.

also in my personal opinion before the Mandate of Heaven Arc it did feel like it had a lot of "Fluff" to the story, after the confession i really did think we had at least another 50 chapters or more left lol since it felt like we just left a lot of plot threads kinda just dangling lol i wish we had more and would have def read more...

but seriously it felt like this ended extremely randomly lol like we had a LOT stuff to see...
