@potatownz if you select shounen and seinen, search by most popular and select those with romance, 80-90 percent of them have spineless male MCs. Nagatoro, this one, others, it's all pathetic men. I don't know why the fuck it's like this but it's infuriating give that women's manga doesn't write their FMCs as hopeless when it comes to men. In fact the FMCs of Shojo probably have more testosterone than male MCs in anything with a romance label.

The last MC I can think of that had the balls to chase his girl was Hiro in Darling in the Franxx, he actually got the girl (and a top tier one at that) and wasn't spineless. And Nasa from Tonikaku though he's yet to seal the deal bedwise even after 130 chapters. There's also maybe a handful of others that don't have the smut tag but it's so rare and they're usually not super popular.

Btw, Nasa from tonikaku has sex (or its heavily implied) in thr 0.5 chapters

Dunno how you can say this guy has no balls. He has more inner strenght than most readers.
And he's a timid guy dealing with trauma anyway. It takes time and help to get better
