We can finally see the finished costume after all the insanity Gojou's been putting himself through, but at the same time, I'm bummed, cause even if the arc went longer than others, the one thing I loved was the art style change between the series itself and the manga he's making the costume from.
The storytelling, paneling, and the art really sold itself on reading a different series inside this one and when it ended with the angel showing up and possessing or haunting Gojou, it really drove home his "unexplainable reason" for feeling compelled to remake the corset as if he really was possessed by the angel.
It seems like nothing but the entire arc has had this series specifically along with the author's insight and interview resonate with Gojou so much that he's become more obsessive with this one than the others and the character herself appearing behind him like he was one of the people she entranced in her series and all the other juxtaposed manga pages with the "real world" scenes just fit so well since they were usually meant to match the chapter's tone/theme/Gojou's mental state every time they appear.
Plus it really showcases Shinichi-sensei's versatility and skill in writing/drawing in other genres even while still in this series, though tbf, that's been going on during the entire series regardless, but this one specifically really stood out since the tone and style was such a huge change from the typically happy go lucky/slice of life/ecchi series. Hell, it even felt way more different even to the horror nun gorefeast group cosplay.
Probably cause the series glimpses we got usually came with Marin, but this arc the series meshed more with Gojou and gave us deeper insight into his mental state instead of how it usually just comes from Marin going "check this shit out, isn't it, like, omg, so cute?!" as she shows a manga panel or anime/VN scene of her waifu getting slimed and tentacled or a half naked succubus trying to get an energy drink mainlining light novelist to pass out so she can drink some sustenance lmfao or even the occasional non-nsfw typical sentai or magical girl series lol
But this arc and this arc's cosplay series/source inspiration was really different this time because instead of that, the source material juxtaposition was more Gojou-focused and even had him going into darker territory (relatively) than we had ever seen thus far, and unless it was a Marin chapter, it almost always stayed in a darker, somewhat ominous tone whenever Gojou was alone and working.
