I'm half expecting the dad to cough and not be entirely dead right now, or something, because losing one of the main characters in a party this small would be surprising (unless they replace her with Alma in a chap or two or something). I feel like a lotta times when a possessed person actually has to get killed to kill the demon, the demon dies along with them, with demons just escaping like this being like they're abandoning a sinking ship (that hasn't quite sunk yet).

Just by how quickly she's saying goodbye makes me think it's not permanent...
Damn right it won't be permanent. She'll be gone for a chapter or 2 and she'll be back. We need her fanservice after all.

Sad partying ways but that's how it should be for friends and comrades. Though it's Manga so I wonder how long they will be apart.
Doubt they will be apart for long.

But that was a sad ending for her family. Hopefully things will improve for her now.
"I'm staying here."

"welp, bye!"

That was quick.
I feel like it was a very quick goodbye because it was probably understood from the onset that her staying behind was a possible result.

There's also the fact that the TL team decided to make the scene more dramatic by turning it into a "Farewell," when the Japanese simply uses じゃあな, the contracted form of それでは、また, which essentially means "See you again," "Well then, see you," "See you later," etc.

So basically, even the characters expect to cross paths again lol.
