I actually forgot what this guy did (a long time since i have read the manga)... oh boy, oh boy. This is not a simple "you raised your sword against me" type of thing... this is a full Anakin (the women and the children too)

Ok ok... I know Japan´s authors like this "all ok" thing and redemption stories... but the "I was possessed" excuse does not cut it here, trial, punishment... something. Not "now you are the witch´s pet"

You know in hindsight, a demons influence is quite terrifying. Imagine having a character showing anger or a bit hatred due to situation dealt to him.

He wouldn't do anything drastic and would probably move on from it eventually. But if he gets infected by demon influence, he could be forced to go on an all out rampage destroying any thing in site until hes fully destroyed.

How can someone control themselves from feeling negative emotions?

Well it sounds like he'll go away when he manages to redeem himself I guess? But still, trying to write it off as "you were just influenced by demons" feels kinda dumb when I'm pretty sure he kicked out Sieg/etc before that, and only got corrupted once things started going to shit because he was already an asshole.

that's why he still has to redeem himself. the other cured demon guy isnt doing any redeeming cuz he wasnt a (total) ass before.
