The main difference between the LN and WN, is that in the WN, the childhood friend married the hero and accepted that wazu had a harem, but she didnt want to be a part of it.

The readers threw a shit fit, cause how dare a woman in an isekai not be part of the MCs 10+ harem

so it was changed in the LN that the Childhood friend was always thinking of a way to get back to wazu and she wasnt a gold digger anymore.

In my opinion this story goes downhill once the harem actually catches him and they introduced the authors other self insert, the dude that has 1000 wives around the workld and is an A class adventurer, and in the end makes a kingdom with his wives.
