I can't help but feel that the harem focus is unfortunate. The characters are decently written and it kills their agency. Compare the female characters to the male characters, like Nil, the dragon lord, and the guard guy. They are just walking fanservice fulfilling a harem fantasy. I get it, that's what people are here for, but I prefer a better narrative personally. Also, there are just too fucking many of them. The fact that the writer is splitting them off is evidence of that. They are not significant enough to be around.
