We wouldn't even BE in this stupid arc if they communicated properly, on several levels.

• If she was honest for just one second before "agreeing" to marry Julius we'd have skipped the whole reason for the fight.
• If MC wasn't so goddamn cryptic 200 years ago Julius wouldn't have fought him.
• If Julius had accepted sooner that MC was his master from that long ago instead of pointlessly going "nuh huh no way you're him despite knowing an awful lot only the two of us would know" the fight could've been cut short.

But hey, contrivances are easy so whatever, right.

Well... you can't just have people talk about their feelings, goals, and desires. Not when they can make a bunch of crazy assumptions, roll that into their own crippling self-esteem and awareness issues, and act unilaterally in what they believe is the best way in spite of the heavily flawed way they got there and with no regard to how the other person will perceive or feel about those actions.

I mean... what sort of heresy would it be if people solved their issues through communication and mature emotional conduct?
