This manga conditioned me to always expect reality to kick in at the end, so why did I cling to one last shard of hope as I read the final chapter? This manga on the whole really plays with your expectations of fictional stories. You want it to have a happy ending because it's fiction and happy endings are generally more well received. Every story here could have easily had a happy ending and a nice hopeful message, but reality always reared its ugly head in the end. And in a way, that only made each story that much more memorable. Overall I'm really glad I found this little gem of a manga, every chapter was a wild ride. You don't find stuff like this everyday.
