Even though the story is complete trash, it's dragging things out for as long as possible to squeeze every last bit of money from it. The fifth volume comes out on the 18th of this month, and the very next day, on the 19th, chapter 46 will be released. I bet it'll end on an interesting cliffhanger (you know, a sexual one) to help boost sales.

A chunk of chapters just got put up on a... different site with a focus on particular types of manga (I'm sure you know which one I'm talking about). Seems like it went through a lot if not most/all of the Hina/Hikaru part. Unfortunately the translation is cringeworthy painful. Like, do a drinking game taking a shot every time a name is misspelled, you'll be dead before the halfway point. From the bare minimum I could understand, it seems like it was already complicated and messed up even there.
I honestly wasn't able to get through the whole thing because, again, the translation was worse than even the worst machine translated slop I've seen here. That said, I get the feeling that, like I described in the spoiler, this is supposed to give a look at the conflict from an outside perspective and ultimately, based on what I saw, what someone else shared, and what was said in the most recent chapter, lead to a sort of recognition on Mako's part that the amount of pain she's causing Kouhei is beyond what she's willing to accept, that she'd rather try to give up on that experiment than see him in even more pain. She clearly was prepared to hurt him a bit, but I guess something during "that trip" made her realize that she was hurting him a lot more than she thought. I do find it interesting that apparently for a large portion of this series she is actually 100% faithful to Kouhei and doesn't do anything with anyone despite it leaving her frustrated. I still suspect the only "happy" end we can expect is a breakup, but at least she's trying. Pitiful that this would be something she has to "try" to do, but NTR sets some very low standards and she technically has surpassed them.
Hina, like Kouhei, doesn't like swinging, but she's also unhappy being in love with someone who actually wants to sleep with someone else. She ends up sleeping with Kouhei, and seems to wish she'd dated him instead simply because he is indeed kind, and gentle, and like her would prefer a relationship without such crap. They mostly only sleep with each other as comfort to forget the pain of their real relationships.
Unfortunately, Hina plays up how much they did outside of the "permitted" times. I'm not really sure if she actually did it with Kouhei when she wasn't supposed to or if she just used a video to make it look like it. Either way, her intent was apparently to get him jealous, which technically worked. Unfortunately, instead of going the way she wanted and calling quits on the swapping behavior, he instead decided to get revenge by breaking some rules himself, specifically by not using a rubber. And when Mako got angry at him for breaking the rules he revealed the way Kouhei is alleged to have broken a rule. Unlike Hikaru, however, Mako doesn't seem to feel angry about Kouhei "cheating" but instead I guess interprets it as him accepting this and thus accepting this side of her, and as such enjoyed that and later trysts all the more.
In a sense I feel like the Hina/Hikaru pair is supposed to be a sort of reflection of Mako and Kouhei. Hina and Kouhei both want to just have a committed relationship with no infidelity, while Hikaru and Mako feel that their relationship would be better with openness to "adventure". In both cases, there's some unhappy recognition that they might have been happier if they'd fallen in love with each other's partners, but they truly do love who they love even if it makes them unhappy at times. Hina and Kouhei could have been happy together, but they already love someone else. Mako and Hikaru could have had fun both from being able to pleasure each other well and being open to outside affairs under strict rules, but they both love someone with all their hearts and know that their love loves them back. The big contrast is that Hikaru is abusive and vindictive when things go against what he wants while Kouhei is sadly accepting and Mako is actually happy because she feels like her beloved's finally asserting himself and doing so in a way that suggests he's okay with what she's asked for.

I hate push-over MC. Can he just project his own will? The relationship is so one-sided that it so toxic. I swear broken guy needs new girlfriend, he's just being used. I hate him but at the same time I pity him. This manga is meant to warm your heart and body in unpleasant way. That's all! In conclusion, don't be Mr. Nice Guy.
Oh wow it's actually ending then? Well I'm a little curious for the ending.
In the latest chapter that just dropped today, seems like blonde girl is going full yandere and is trying to get Mako fired from her drop or...create a situation to have the teacher fuck her? That second part is just speculation but I feel like blondie really wants MC for herself.

Yeah, Iroha suddenly went down a hateful path.
So in short, Iroha tries to convince Mako that they'd be better off ending their relationship, while Mako ultimately declares that while she can agree on a certain level ultimately she wants to be with him and will only leave him if Kouhei himself decides to. Then Iroha learns that Mako is about to become a student teacher and immediately calls the school she'll go to and informs them of her "immoral" relationship. I was thinking from pretty much when they started their relationship that Iroha was being manipulative and pushy and basically trying not to help Kouhei get out of a painful situation but rather to "correct" his painful "mistake", treating any decision she didn't like as him being "confused". At this point, I guess the mask is off and she's willing to do anything to take out what she considers to be a "bad" person. I agree that Mako and Kouhei need to either break up or do some serious work to figure out how to find fulfillment in the physical side of their relationship (even if this fulfillment is emotional rather than actual carnal satisfaction), but I get the feeling Iroha would be an even worse partner.
At this point I'll follow to the end. I just hope that the story's not going to go back on Mako's commitment to Kouhei. As I'd said before it's confirmed that Mako hasn't cheated on Kouhei in some time, regardless of the "rules", because she realizes she's hurting him. If she decides to continue this way, simply happy to be with the man she loves regardless of how much or little she feels in bed, they may be able to find some happiness (though again I think they should find some relationship counseling that specializes in the bedroom, as this is a thing and it would do a lot of good for them). If Kouhei decides that they'd do better apart, even if just for a while before trying again, that too could lead to happiness for both whether together or not. If she goes back to screwing other men for her own pleasure, I cannot see any happiness in their future.
Iroha takes Mako to a cake shop (or some other place that serves various sweets). Mako is just innocently enjoying the sweets while Iroha is very serious. She tells Mako that she and Kouhei should break up. She tells her that Kouhei might not have shared it with her since he's "the type to suppress his own emotions and just endure", but when he's with her he always looks pained. She insists that lately he's been in such a chaotic state that he doesn't even know how he feels (honestly here I feel like she's pushing a bit due to her own wishes; he is unsure, but she's the one that acts like his failure to respond the way she wants is him "not knowing" how her "really" feels), and if Mako isn't really satisfied with him too then it would be best for both of them to end it now. Mako admits she feels the same way, but even so she wants to be with him. That's why she feels the decision to break up or stay together belongs not to Mako or to Iroha, but to Kouhei himself. Iroha's furious because she doesn't believe he's in a state to make a proper and normal decision. She tries to downplay her position, hesitantly describing it as a "friend" being concerned for another friend while still pressing that Kouhei's been seriously hurt by Mako's immoral behavior/viewpoint, finally concluding that their relationship isn't "proper". Mako calmly asks from whose perspective it's "improper" and tells her that it's really up to her and Kouhei to decide if their relationship is right or wrong. All the same, Kouhei doesn't just talk openly to her but has the courage to face her directly, and thanks to their conversation she finally realizes that the rudest thing she could do is fail to respect whatever Kouhei decides. Iroha confirms that Mako's saying she has no intention to break up, then asks if that's true no matter how much Kouhei cheats on her, to which she mirrors the title: "Even so, I want to be his girlfriend". Iroha finally drops it with a last jab, calling Mako "cruel".
They then start talking about their studies and future paths. Mako says she's planning to become a teacher and so rather than job hunting further studies are more important for her future. Just one more jump back since I looked at another small portion of the absolutely awful "translations" I found on a certain well-known site for "Mature" manga. Figuring out what was said from those machine translations is possibly even harder than just translating from Japanese, but I'm not planning to track down RAWs of this series.
Sorry for going out of order like this. But basically, I was right about something happening during the trip. I thought it was her seeing some reaction or having some argument or something, but turns out it's just that, since Kouhei was actually managing to get close to Hina unlike Kuma's wife, Mako was feeling jealous herself for the first time. She realized she really can't stand seeing Kouhei sleeping with other women, recognized that this isn't just her, and I'm pretty sure this combination of not wanting to see him with another woman and recognizing he doesn't want to see her with someone else either is why she quit cold turkey: she finally realized how unpleasant the whole thing is to her AND Kouhei. At the same time, Mako doesn't want Kouhei to treat her like a toy or tool to be used and tossed aside, she just wants some feeling of danger, of assertiveness. She loves how secure he makes her feel, like being wrapped up in a warm blanket in a cottage without a care in the world. But you don't get horny in a warm blanket, you just want to curl up and enjoy a nap. Kouhei doesn't make her feel any fear, fear of losing him, or of him going overboard, or of him doing things she's not ready for, and as a result her heart doesn't race.
Honestly, this is a problem I've seen brought up a lot in anime and manga with boys, even in ones that don't even qualify as "suggestive" let alone "erotica" or "mature". It's kind of like the common complaint of "herbivore men". Women love to be with them, they create a secure home life and make them feel safe. But there's no sense of uncertainty, no adventure, and as a result they don't feel pressed forward in any way. If the author intends to continue with this path, then the main thing Kouhei needs is to gain some confidence that he can put himself out there and prioritize what he wants from time to time. That he can and should take charge, focus less on "I'm yours" and more on "you're mine", do what he wants without worrying that this girl who hasn't left him through any of this crap will suddenly walk out on him. In this sense, Iroha might have even been good for him... maybe. That reassurance, that confirmation that his love, his touch, his desires can indeed be enough, might just be able to impart a little confidence. Again, it's just a maybe, and a big maybe at that especially with just a couple chaps left. But in another story, with more time for development and recovery, I could see it doing some good.

Hikaru goes back to Hina to try and make up while Kouhei watches and tries to figure things out. The next day Mako asks Kouhe to do her and they do, while he thinks to himself that honestly he's feeling refreshed or relieved to know that Hikaru and Hina made up. Hikaru even apologized for being a total idiot up to then and proposed to her.
After the trip, Mako immediately sets up to meet with "Kuma" and his wife, while Hina comes to meet with Kouhei one last time. Mako admits to having felt jealous the whole trip, hurting so much it was almost unbearable. Kuma and his wife say that they know that jealousy very well, though for them they treat it almost like a "spice" and a way to make their own sex better. Hina tells Kouhei that she turned down Hikaru's proposal and broke up with him because she felt like they'd become too codependent, and that before trying to love someone else she felt like she should try to learn to like herself. This is looking less and less like there's any way at all for it to end with NTR. Good thing in my book.
But yeah, it really does look like all the cheating stopped during the trip, and now while their relationship is still very rocky and messy, the story is still not about loving a cheater but rather trying to figure out how they want to live and how to find happiness with their "problems". As such, while I'd say it's 50/50 whether they stay together or break up, I can't buy for a moment that Mako will ever cheat again, even if the "rules" say it's not really cheating.
Mako gets called in and questioned as to whether she has any "relationships" that may invite trouble or "misunderstandings". She's told that there are no immediate issues and nothing will be done at the current stage, but there is the possibility that the school she's to work at as a student teacher may contact and request she not participate. She goes to class and tries talking to her classmates only for them to get up and sit as far away as possible. And of course they were all talking about the rumors of her being a "yariman" (basically slut but at the same time about the most extreme and harsh connotation possible), guys calling out and asking if she'd like to have a go with them, pity for her boyfriend, etc. Only someone mentions they'd heard "her boyfriend" also sleeps around (which really upsets her all on its own). When someone suggests that Mako started sleeping around because of Kouhei's influence because he was doing it first, she finally snaps, shouts that's not true and leaves, eventually sending a text asking to meet Kouhei.
Meanwhile, Iroha is extremely awkward and shy out of nowhere, though Kouhei himself feels awkward and unsure how to act after how odd Iroha was near the end of their last "date". He meets up with Mako and learns about the leak. Mako's already resolved herself and recognizes she brought it all on herself, but she worries that Kouhei might also suffer repercussions (he hasn't even gotten past a couple interviews so he isn't deep enough anywhere to have problems). As they're wondering where the leak came from they notice Iroha, who runs away.
Iroha recalls events leading to her admiring Kouhei, seeing him as the first "3D" boy she actually found trustworthy and desirable. She talks to Kouhei and Mako over the phone and swears she wasn't the one who exposed them, but apologizes because she came close and was wavering a lot. It then concludes with a flashback that confirms she indeed called the school, asked about their stance on "inappropriate" relationships, but then stopped herself and claimed that it was all just a "misunderstanding", meaning someone else must have exposed them.
So Iroha managed to pull herself back from being complete garbage, but I'm still not liking her. She seemed far too pushy and set on seeing things in a way convenient for her, like it was only common sense that Kouhei should choose her over Mako and if he's not then it must be that he's confused or afraid or something.

While I agree that the only "happy end" would be an amicable break-up. As of the latest chapter I can only see this ending in some kind of Tragedy. This tragedy will most likely revolve around who I believe to be the most likely candidate of the leak. Hikaru. Now, all of my information has been gathered from the previously mentioned horribly translated chapters on that infamous website as well as your summaries of the latest chapters. We know how violent and vindictve he waas after learning how Hina and Kouhei betrayed them. He will either succeed in breaking up this couple through whatever means or failing that it will end like UwaKoi
Another issue that has not been adressed that may also result in the break-up of the couple through Hikaru is the possible consequences of the unprotected sex between Mako and Hikaru. We don't actually know how often they met, as a result of the changes to the rules, and therefore we don't know long they have been having unprotected sex. I know the rules state that they are only allowed to meet up once a week, but those same rules prohibit uprotected sex. We know that she will break the rules for Hikaru (which by the way I don't know if I fully belive that she has not been meeting with anyone since the trip. If anything Hikaru has probably been meeting with her under the guise of still being in a relationship with Hina. I don't recall Mako learning about the break-up and the he can and has successfully guilted her into breaking those rules.
Theres actually quite a bit more I want to write, but I want read this series over from the begining before the final chapter comes out. Theres a few things that bug me but I want to make sure that I am remembering certain things correctly and want to try to get better (even if its MTL) translations of the series.

I'm no longer even sure the author will be able to bring this to a conclusion. This is the second to last chapter and it really left far too much open. It seems like it's not even planning to try and "fix" the big problem of intimacy.
This ep is mostly focused on Iroha apologizing, getting close to Mako, and admitting that she'd been mistaken about their relationship. She'd convinced herself that Mako was mistreating Kouhei, but after talking to her and getting to know her she "realized" that this "isn't the case". Honestly, I'd say she was up through that vacation, but I really can't buy that she's still sleeping around behind his back and really do think she's learned to cherish him, even if she hasn't learned how to handle that one problem. The rest of the chapter has them talking, Kouhei wondering which version of himself he likes more, the him that would choose Mako despite all of this or the him that would choose to part ways, and then they once more come across some people talking about Mako. Kouhei angrily grabs Mako and holds her tight, declaring that he loves her and silently daring those people to continue thinking "poor deceived boyfriend". But Mako shows she can handle herself, going over and questioning them about where the rumor came from (a senpai in their club), where their source heard it, and chides them for going so far about things they haven't personally confirmed (despite it being at least partly true). Still, Mako is very happy that he went out of his way to protect her, and even happier that he said "daisuki" for the first time in a long while. "Suki" can mean love, or it can mean like, while adding "dai" just creates a much stronger emphasis.
The only real positive from this is Kouhei is being a bit more assertive. That was Mako's big problem before, that Kouhei is very much an "herbivore" who doesn't really assert himself, resulting in her wanting someone more confident and assertive. I don't know, there's some possibility that Kouhei is supposed to come out of this with a firmer grasp on his feelings and wishes and thus a stronger willingness to put himself first at times, and perhaps this will allow Mako to start enjoying things a bit more, but still it feels like this would take several more chapters. Instead, we have one chapter left, where apparently he's going to meet back up with Mako's mother and "talk" with her, meaning he's likely to come to some sort of decision.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think more than anything these two need therapy. In the West some of us may be a little overboard on therapy (at least based on some fiction and other such things), but there are a lot of cases in Japan where it would be very helpful, and this is one such example. A couple who love and treasure each other and want to be together and bring each other joy and fulfillment in any and every part of their lives? But who struggle in the bedroom for various reasons such as the boy's struggle to show confidence and act aggressively according to his own wishes? Yeah, they might not need years of therapy, but a couple months would do them wonders.

She has lost all chances at redemption the moment she arranged the swinging couple before even talking about it with Kouhei in chapter one. She was so sure about how gullible he is that she didn't even need to confirm. She pretty much just peer pressured him into getting cucked and enjoying it. But there is not much time left so they will most likely end up together as the story does everything under the sun to make Mako look like a victim. Can't expect any thing less from an artist who drew under Katsura fucking Airi.
